As a first-time parent preparing to send my oldest child to college, I quickly realized how terribly unprepared and behind schedule I was in this process. Little did I realize this would become a part-time job for almost a year. The time commitment needed to fill out college applications, apply for financial aid, and seek outside scholarships was overwhelming to both myself and my son. The POM team helped us every step of the way. With specialized team members, I was able to get all my answers about FAFSA and financial aid, merit scholarships, and college requirement, deadlines, and applications answered knowledgeably and swiftly. I could not imagine what this process would be like without the friendly, experienced team at POM helping us from start to finish Bailen Family’s

I am an owner of a financial planning practice and a parent of four teenagers. We utilized POM for our oldest child this year and the process was extremely helpful. Our daughter really appreciated the support as well. She was able to go to her first choice school thanks to the appeal process and some additional scholarship. Tuition this year at the private art school she is attending ended up costing the same as junior college! Of course, you can do this yourself but you can also do your own taxes and your own investing which often leads to saving pennies but losing dollars. Wendy M, Grateful Parent

TO THE ENTIRE TEAM AT POM: I can’t thank you enough for the help, support and guidance through the entire process of applying for colleges and the FAFSA application. There is no way my son and I could have done this on our own. We knew the process would be tedious, the attention to detail on each college application, especially the FAFSA application; the paperwork stress, the accuracy and meeting the deadlines were crucial. The team at POM worked to help my son navigate through the admissions process, paying close attention to all the details and following up to make we got the maximum amount of help. I am a single working mom and work a full-time job with long hours. My son has baseball and boy scouts, AP classes. Our lives are so very full. We really needed the help and services of your company and the whole team at POM was fabulous!!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people. I know I asked a lot of questions. A LOT OF QUESTIONS. I’m especially grateful that no one treated me or made me feel foolish for not knowing the process or the terminology. Whoever I was working with at that time and at that particular stage (Katie, Reva, Vanessa, Taryn) each took great care in explaining the process in the way I would understand. Finally, Michael did get a nice scholarship with the college he wanted. I thought it was done and we are complete. However, Katie with her experience and knowledge urged that we should work to appeal to get better results and additional financial help. How would I possibly know that unless I had a company like POM working with us and working FOR us. With so much gratitude, I have told most of my friends who have a kid in their Junior year to really start thinking through how much work this is, and all the preparation that needs to take place ahead of time and during the time. I will not hesitate to refer them to your company. Again, I am so thankful and so grateful for your help and services. You have made my life a lot easier in handling this for me and for my son Michael, to have a good college future. He is so excited to start Arizona State University in the fall. THANK YOU POM! We were very pleased with the admission essay reviews, the personalized scholarship search, and the FAFSA and CSS Profile completion and submission services provided by POM. All of these services helped to save us time and alleviated some concerns during the admission process. In particular, the personalized scholarship search identified some different scholarships than a list provided by my daughter’s school, so it gave her additional scholarships to consider that she did not have on her radar. One of the scholarships that my daughter applied for and was awarded is one that she learned about from POM. Her school should have made her and other students who qualified aware of the scholarship, but they did not. It took my daughter asking her club’s advisor multiple times for the form and submission instructions for the particular scholarship. When my daughter was notified of her award, she was very excited and was glad that she had continued to follow up with her club advisor to get the information she needed prior to the deadline. Thanks, POM, for the personalized scholarship search…it paid off! Randy and Christie R, Lousiana
